If you wait long enough, dreams do come true.  An early “retirement” provided me with the opportunity to do what I always wanted to do…express myself creatively.  With no formal training, a great deal has been learned from taking courses from successful local artists over the years.  The process of creating is more satisfying to me than the completed piece.  Sketching, gathering materials, researching subject matter and experimenting with different techniques satisfies my sense of curiosity.    All mediums appeal to me.  Viewing others work is both inspiring and humbling.  Entering local member shows provides an opportunity to interact with many accomplished artists.  My studio at the E T Wright in Rockland is a dream come true.
